Origami flowers for Kinkell Byre Wedding

Summer doesn't always come in July and August in Scotland. For Claire and Andrew it came in May 2017 for their wedding at Kinkell Byre, Fife. Hot and blue skied day, golden hour that lasted for hours, Lauren McGlynn has captured the joy of this wedding day perfectly. And as a guest I should know, it was a privilege and rather emotional to see these two friends marry. Not often do I get to see my textile origami on the wedding day but when I do get to see my creations compliment the style and feel of the day so perfectly I feel like a proud mum. The heat of the day didn't bother the folded flowers and they looked fresh as a daisy well after the last dance and at the festivities the following day. Pollination flowers did an amazing job incorporating the white silk origami flowers into the bridal bouquet and grooms boutonniere. Family and friends arranged stems for the venue and the flower girls and bride wore origami flowers in their hair. Congratulations guys, and enjoy your rather belated honeymoon!
