Christina approached me to make bridal jewellery after purchasing some of my Upcycled Butterfly Earrings from the Red Door Gallery in Edinburgh. She wanted every element of the wedding to be personal to her and her husband, expressing their own style and finding wedding suppliers who they could engage with so that the planning was as much of the experience of getting married as the day itself. Meeting Christina to discuss her requirements was a pleasure and we quickly discovered a common love of dance. We discussed how we could make the most of her delicate dress with deep V front and back whilst keeping away from traditional bridal accessories and incorporating colour and pattern. The final necklace, bracelet and earrings combine Liberty Cotton Lawn butterflies of differing but complimentary aqua coloured prints. Adding freshwater pearls and sterling silver findings ensures the pieces have a luxe feel in keeping with the occasion whilst making them wearable after the event. The back of the necklace features a butterfly on a removable long chain to draw attention to her beautiful dancers frame, as do the extra long earrings.
