Keeping your personal Data Personal
From 25 May 2018 the EU General Data Protection Regulations, GDPR, will come into force.
As a company, currently, based in the EU, many of my customers and clients are also based in the EU. As a citizen of the EU you will have certain rights with regard your personal data. The Right to be forgotten, the Right to object, the Right to rectification, the Right of access and the Right of portability. If at anytime you have any concerns about the data I hold about you please get in touch. For email subscribers you can unsubscribe by hitting the button at the bottom of the email.
When you engage me or buy something from me, you consent to providing your name and contact details so that I may fulfill my contractual obligations. Your data will be retained until at least the contract is fulfilled and for as long as I am required to do so for legal and tax requirements. Should I wish to send you Marketing and Newsletters I will specifically ask for your consent to do this. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. From time to time I may need to contact you under a legitimate interest if not overwritten by your rights and interests, for example but not limited to feedback, product recalls or product updates.
If you sign up or opt in to my mailing list, you should know that I use Mailchimp to store, use and manage your personal data. If you contact me through the contact form or direct email the data associated with our correspondence will be stored in my email files. You may choose to interact with me or pay me via a third party, for example Social Media, Etsy, Paypal, Sum-up. In doing so you agree by the terms of their Privacy Policies, Cookie Policies and Terms of Service. Your data may be transferred to a third party so that I can carry out any contractual obligations, e.g Parcel delivery. I may also need to share your data to comply with the law (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others. If I am deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, I rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer.
I do not buy or sell data. I just don't.
I take all reasonable steps to protect your data, however, I cannot guarantee the security of any data you share on-line. By contacting me online, you accept the security risks of providing information over the Internet and will not hold me responsible for any breach of security unless this is due to my negligence or wilful default.
